The mini Link 3 uses three-colour OLED exposure of instax mini film and yields a 62 by 46 mm image area inside the film border. The Hi-Print uses D2T2 / 4PASS dye-diffusion thermal transfer on a Hi-Print 2x3 paper cartridge, with a manufacturer print size of 54 by 86 mm that should be kept separate from the 2x3 family name. The media are not interchangeable.
The mini Link 3 connects over Bluetooth 5.1 to the instax mini Link app on supported iOS and Android devices. The Hi-Print lists Bluetooth 2.1 EDR and 5.0 and uses the Polaroid Hi-Print app, with reviewed requirements of iOS 16 or later and Android 7 or later. Both charge an internal battery over USB-C.
