How our comparisons work

CompareFoundry puts exact US purchase options side by side and links their facts to the evidence behind them. The site directory lists the categories and products in the current catalogue. The comparisons explain documented differences; we have not independently tested these products.

Start with the offer you would buy

A product model can have several purchase options. A package may add accessories, storage drives, an expansion battery or a filter subscription. We keep the model and generation separate from the package, country and included equipment. Package notes summarize the documented offer and are not a complete packing list.

For example, the A1 and A1 Combo share an A1 printer. The feeder belongs to the Combo package. A compatible accessory does not become included because the printer supports it.

Follow a fact back to its source

We use manufacturer specifications, manuals and documented seller offers. The source details show the basis for a field, when the source was checked and how the information was retrieved. A directly inspected page and a search engine's indexed copy are different evidence. Indexed pages can lag behind the seller's current options.

A source-linked specification describes what the source states. A rated airflow, battery capacity, network-port speed or laser power is not an independent performance result. It does not replace a test or the manufacturer's operating instructions.

Read uncertain fields as uncertain

“Not verified” means we lack sufficient evidence for that field. “Sources disagree” means the evidence conflicts. Neither means zero, no or a failed product. When we use one stated value despite a conflicting source, the conflict remains in the notes.

In the printer catalogue, material labels keep the source's wording: listed, recommended, conditional or not recommended. An absent material does not establish incompatibility. Printer support and automatic-feeder restrictions are checked separately. In every category, read the conditions beside a fact before relying on it.

Use each measurement for its purpose

Each category has its own measurements and explanations. Compare the same quantity and read its conditions:

Check the dates beside the evidence

Product facts have source-check dates. A review-due marker appears after 31 days; it signals that the evidence needs another check, not that every value has become wrong.

Article publication and editorial review dates describe the writing. An updated guide can still cite an older product source. Check the source date as well as the article date.

Compare, share and check the seller

You can compare up to five distinct purchase options within one category for free, including different packages of the same model where listed. No account or payment is needed. Shared links contain your selected options and filters. They load the latest published catalogue, so a saved link may show corrected facts later.

We do not currently display prices. A seller link may open several variants; match the selection label shown here, then confirm the current package, price, stock, shipping and terms on that seller's website.

Report an error with its evidence

Email support@comparefoundry.com with the page URL, exact model or package, disputed field and a manufacturer or seller source. We check the evidence before changing a record. A source-check date changes when that source is rechecked.
