These packages answer different tasks. CP1500 supports larger postcard paper and several image-input paths, but its portable battery is optional. Hi-Print Generation 2 contains a battery and uses a smaller proprietary paper cartridge. Neither selection establishes a tested image-quality winner.

Package and specification details
Compare finished output, not the product nickname
Canon specifies 100 x 148 mm postcard paper after removing perforated ends. Polaroid lists 54 x 86 mm print size despite the 2x3 family name. These measurements are not a universal interchangeable media standard; buy the consumables listed for the chosen printer.
CP1500 offers supported phone/computer workflows plus memory cards and USB flash drives. Hi-Print uses the Polaroid smartphone app. Recheck your exact phone OS and supported files; a charging connector alone does not create a computer-printing workflow.
CP1500 does not charge or receive power through USB-C; its separately sold battery is not included. Hi-Print Generation 2 charges through USB-C, but the reviewed printer-only US package excludes both the cable and paper cartridge. The 850 g Canon body and 255 g Polaroid cartridge-excluded figure omit different accessories.
The manufacturer explicitly says USB charging/power supply is not provided. Use its documented power arrangement rather than assuming USB-C power support.
