Check the complete filament path
P1S includes a stainless-steel nozzle. Bambu calls for both an extruder and a hotend upgrade before printing carbon- or glass-fiber-reinforced filament; changing the nozzle alone does not meet that stated requirement. P2S lists a hardened-steel nozzle and extruder gear, with specific reinforced grades including PLA-CF, PETG-CF and PA6-GF. That list does not establish support for every reinforced polymer. Match the exact filament to the printer, nozzle and preparation instructions, then check any automatic feeder's restrictions separately.

Read the exact Combo contents
The starting table compares two printer-only packages, with no automatic feeder included. The alternative P1S Combo recorded here adds the original AMS; P2S Combo adds AMS 2 Pro and a filament buffer. Compare those two Combo packages together when choosing a bundle. Check bed temperature and the supplied plate separately
P1S lists a maximum bed temperature of 100°C; P2S lists 110°C and an included Textured PEI plate. The reviewed P1S evidence names compatible surfaces but identifies the supplied item only as a build plate, so its included surface remains unverified here. Confirm that surface for your exact package. Use the filament manufacturer's bed and plate guidance; a higher maximum alone does not establish better adhesion or print quality.

Separate the enclosure from chamber heating
Both printers are enclosed. P2S documentation explicitly says that it has no active chamber heater, which would add heat to the air around the print. Do not assume a heater is present because a printer has an enclosure. Read the stated material conditions and chamber method if your planned filament has a temperature requirement.

Use the shared print size as a starting point
Both list 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume. That is the nominal print space, not an operating footprint or proof that the same job will succeed on both. After checking the nozzle and any feeder package, inspect your intended job and the manufacturer setup instructions. We have not measured speed, print quality, running cost or long-term reliability for these printers.

Common questions
Is a nozzle replacement the only P1S upgrade needed for reinforced filament?
Bambu's P1S guidance calls for both an extruder and a hotend upgrade. Follow the exact filament and hardware instructions. P2S already lists a hardened-steel nozzle and extruder gear, but its supported reinforced grades should not be generalized to every carbon- or glass-fiber filament.

How the printing area is heated
How the air around the print stays warm. A cabinet may hold heat from the print bed, use a separate heater, or control airflow with fans and vents.
Check what your chosen filament needs. “Temperature controlled” does not always mean a separate heater is included. Ask the maker if the method is unclear.
