Start with the material you plan to use

Bambu does not broadly recommend ABS or ASA on A1, while P1S lists these filament types as ideal materials. If either is part of your intended use, read the P1S instructions for the exact filament and setup before choosing. This is a difference in manufacturer guidance, not a measured comparison of print quality. The casing around P1S is an enclosure; it does not by itself settle every material or operating requirement.

The listed print space is the same

Both printers list a build volume of 256 × 256 × 256 mm. Build volume is the space available for the print, measured in three directions. A larger outer machine does not give you a larger listed print area in this comparison. If object size is your main requirement, prepare a representative object in the intended printer software and inspect the full job before relying on either size.

Choose the actual printer-only or Combo offer

The starting columns contain the printer-only A1 and P1S. Neither includes an automatic filament feeder. The recorded A1 Combo adds AMS lite; the recorded P1S Combo adds the original AMS. A feeder selects and feeds filament from connected spools. Those are different systems, so compare their documented restrictions and included equipment if you want a bundle.

Enclosed printer An enclosure is a cabinet around the printer. Check which filaments the maker recommends and whether ventilation is needed. A cabinet alone does not make every material suitable or the air safe to breathe. Check the heating row separately if your filament needs a warm printing area. How the printing area is heated How the air around the print stays warm. A cabinet may hold heat from the print bed, use a separate heater, or control airflow with fans and vents. Check what your chosen filament needs. “Temperature controlled” does not always mean a separate heater is included. Maximum nozzle temperature The hottest the maker says the nozzle can run, in degrees Celsius. Check the temperature range on your chosen filament.
