Compare two independently controlled zones, temperature ranges, closed dimensions and the evidence needed for a power plan.
The decision in brief
How the options differ
Both offer about 75 L and two independently controlled zones. Dometic publishes the wider temperature-setting range; ICECO documents either-side lid opening. Choose by the required temperatures, loading access and complete installation space. The available energy claims do not support an efficiency winner. Both starting packages exclude a separate battery.

The buying guide
Package and specification details
Choose the temperatures and compartments you need
Both have two independently controlled zones for separate fridge and freezer settings. Dometic advertises 75 L; ICECO’s manual also lists 75 L, despite slightly different quart labels across sources. Treat them as similar nominal capacity, then inspect the compartment layout for your food containers. Dometic publishes a -7°F to 68°F range and ICECO 0°F to 50°F. These are specified ranges, not our measurements of food temperature or cooling speed.
Dometic lists 35.12 × 19.49 × 18.58 in in W × D × H order, including handles. ICECO lists 36.5 × 18.5 × 18.1 in in L × W × H order without specifying handle treatment. Retain those axis labels when checking your vehicle. ICECO documents lids that open from either side or lift off. Numeric lid-opening envelopes remain unverified for both; a closed-size fit does not settle access.
Dometic’s manual requires at least 50 mm on all sides for ventilation. ICECO’s v7 troubleshooting guidance specifies more than 5 cm at the left and right of the compressor cover and 10 cm at its front air outlet. These are airflow allowances, not lid clearance. Map the vents, cable ends and lid movement in the proposed installation before committing to a slide or cabinet.
These base packages include AC and vehicle DC cables, with no separate battery included. ICECO’s current v7 manual lists 0.636 kWh over 24 hours, but omits the ambient temperature, zone settings and load needed to compare that laboratory figure fairly. Dometic’s light-bulb analogy does not provide a matched daily-energy test. Neither claim establishes which fridge will run longer from your battery; input ratings and daily energy are different quantities.
The documented empty weights are 67.3 lb for Dometic and 69.6 lb for ICECO. Add the contents and separately carried power equipment when planning how to move either fridge. This comparison selects Dometic US SKU 97000050757 and ICECO VL75ProD Black without the magnetic-battery bundle. Confirm the seller’s current configuration; no live price, delivery promise or battery-runtime ranking is supplied here.
No. Its manual labels this laboratory consumption and does not provide the full test conditions. A runtime estimate also needs the battery’s usable energy and the actual operating setup.
These manufacturer specifications do not establish measured performance, noise, long-term reliability or running cost. We have not independently tested these products. Check current prices, stock and operating-space instructions with the seller and manufacturer.

Lid-opening clearance
Documented space required to open the lid in the stated configuration.
An unknown value needs a dimensioned drawing or measurement. Slides and reversible lids can change the space needed; ventilation is a separate requirement.

Questions to check before buying
CFX5 75DZ US base package
Nominal advertised liters are converted to US quarts explicitly; usable space and zone splits require separate checks.
Lid-opening clearance remains unverified. Closed dimensions include handles, but an installation also needs ventilation and cable access.
VL75ProD US base package
VL45PLUS, VL45ProD and non-Pro models are separate identities; their values are not imported.
US-page and v7-manual quart labels differ. Net weight, closed dimensions and compressor ventilation are documented; handle inclusion and numeric lid-opening clearance remain unverified.
The v7 daily-energy figure omits the conditions required for a matched efficiency comparison.
