Do not confuse the two power scales
A1289 lists 140 W total and A1340 250 W aggregate, while both document a 140 W single USB-C maximum. The connected devices and sharing mode decide usable simultaneous output. A total rating is not a promise for one laptop.
A1340 advertises a 170 W dual-input peak, normally above 55% battery, and explicitly says it is not sustained. A1289 uses its documented USB-C1 input. Confirm the required charger ports and cables rather than treating the peak as a continuous charging rate.
