How the options differ
Both advertise a 10 Gb/s host link, but EC-SNVE explicitly supports SATA as well as NVMe. ROG STRIX ARION is NVMe-only and has named compatibility exclusions. That distinction matters more than a shared USB-C connector.

Package and specification details
Identify the existing SSD first
A SATA M.2 drive is supported by the Sabrent protocol specification, but not by the selected ASUS enclosure. For NVMe, also check the exact controller and drive model. ASUS excludes Crucial P5 and the named Realtek controllers; its supported length list does not cancel those restrictions.
Sabrent highlights 2242, 2260 and 2280, while a detailed list also includes 2230. Confirm 2230 mounting before buying for that size. ASUS lists all four lengths but also states a capacity limit. A mechanically fitting drive is only one part of the compatibility decision.
Sabrent documents tool-free installation and a USB-C cable. ASUS uses a pin-opened cover and thumb screw, with USB-C and USB-A cables listed for the standard model. The Lite package is not the selected ASUS offer. Follow thermal-pad instructions on either; no measured transfer or cooling advantage is claimed here.
