Compare the stated working areas, not the bed

xTool lists a 498 × 319 mm working area for S1 with the 40 W module. Creality lists 400 × 415 mm for Falcon2 Pro 40W. Neither source labels the axes, so the catalogue leaves width and depth unresolved for both. S1’s pair is longer in one dimension, while Falcon2 Pro’s is closer to square. Creality’s 500 × 500 mm honeycomb workbench is a bed accessory, not the engraving area. Check your largest flat piece in both orientations before choosing.

Decide how you want to position work

Falcon2 Pro supplies a camera for positioning. S1 uses xTool’s marked-point positioning, and its photo workflow uses a separate compatible smartphone rather than a built-in camera. If an integrated camera is a requirement, only the Falcon package meets it in these documents. We have not measured either system’s placement accuracy.

Count the laser modules in each box

Both packages supply a 40 W diode module. Creality’s Basic Kit also supplies a separate 1.6 W module, and its rating is not added to the 40 W figure. The S1 40W Basic Bundle supplies only the 40 W module; xTool’s 20 W, 10 W and 2 W infrared modules are separate configurations. Equal nominal ratings do not establish equal cutting depth, finish or job time, and the manufacturers’ cutting examples are not CompareFoundry tests.

Compare the included accessories

The S1 40W Basic Bundle lists a honeycomb panel and Smart Air Assist. Falcon2 Pro’s Basic Kit lists air assist and tubing, exhaust hardware, a 500 × 500 mm honeycomb workbench and ten basswood plywood sheets. Neither selected package includes a rotary: xTool places RA2 Pro and the riser base in its 40W Deluxe and All-in-one SafetyPro bundles, and Creality sells other bundles. Neither includes a fume extractor or purifier.

Plan the exhaust route and setup

S1’s guide covers installing the laser module, distance sensor and exhaust pipe, and directs the pipe outside or to a suitable smoke purifier. Creality’s manual sets out assembly together with ventilation, supervision and fire precautions. xTool lists 20 kg for S1; Creality’s weight is unresolved because its product table and manual give 18.56 kg and 19 kg. Neither comparison point establishes a safe material or unattended operation.
