A considered comparison

xTool S1 20W vs Creality Falcon A1 Pro 20W

Choose between a larger stated flat working area and an integrated camera, then compare the exact 20 W packages.

The decision in brief

How the options differ

Start with S1 20W if the larger documented flat area is the deciding requirement. Start with Falcon A1 Pro if an integrated positioning camera matters more. The selected S1 Basic Bundle includes a honeycomb panel and air assist; the Falcon base machine includes air assist but excludes its optional infrared module. Neither selected package includes a rotary attachment.

The buying guide

Package and specification details

Start with the size of your flat projects

xTool reports a 498 × 330 mm working area for S1 20W. Creality’s A1 Pro configuration identifies 358 mm width and 268 mm depth. S1’s published pair is larger, but its guide does not label the axes, so the catalogue keeps those individual fields unresolved. Prepare a representative design and check orientation, focus and material placement before choosing from the area alone.

Try the positioning workflow you expect to use

Falcon A1 Pro supplies an integrated camera for positioning. S1 uses marked-point positioning; its photo workflow needs a separate compatible smartphone. If arranging designs through a built-in camera is a requirement, Falcon meets that documented requirement. If you prefer marking the job boundaries, inspect S1’s workflow. We have not measured either system’s placement accuracy.

Compare the included equipment

The S1 20W Basic Bundle includes a honeycomb panel and Smart Air Assist. Falcon A1 Pro’s base machine has air assist and an exhaust pipe. Neither selected package includes a rotary attachment: Creality lists a rotary connection cable, which is only a cable; xTool puts RA2 Pro and the riser in other bundles. Identify the complete setup for cylindrical work before comparing seller totals.

For material, exhaust and workspace planning, read the enclosed laser package guide.

Keep optional modules out of the base comparison

Both starting machines supply a 20 W diode. Creality’s dual-laser wording also describes a separately sold 2 W infrared module. Its infrared material examples cannot be assigned to the selected diode-only package. xTool’s 40 W and infrared configurations are also separate. Equal nominal optical power does not establish equal cutting depth, finish or job time.

Check software and the exhaust route before ordering

S1’s guide covers xTool software and LightBurn and directs the exhaust pipe outside or to a suitable smoke purifier. Plan the exhaust route and access to the work area as part of the installation. A material-processing area is not the machine’s desk footprint. For either machine, verify the exact material and intended software workflow; this comparison does not establish unattended operation or a safe material from a marketing category.

Questions to check before buying

The reported 498 × 330 mm working-area pair has no explicit axis labels in the cited model specification.

Smartphone photo positioning requires a separate compatible phone; it is different from an integrated overhead camera.

The optional infrared module is not part of this 20 W package. Camera functions and autofocus support depend on the software workflow.
