LiTime Group 24 vs Group 24 Self-Heating vs Renogy Pro 100Ah: cold charging and monitoring
Three 100 Ah batteries with the same 100 A BMS class differ in how they handle charging below freezing and whether you can monitor them from a phone.
The decision in brief
How the options differ
All three exact US packages are rated 100 Ah with 100 A continuous discharge and 100 A maximum charge. The decision is about cold weather: the basic LiTime Group 24 lists no low-temperature protection, the LiTime Self-Heating adds a charge cutoff plus a heater, and the Renogy Pro adds a heater with its own conditions and a parallel-only limit.

Separate the cutoff from the heater
The basic Group 24 lists no low-temperature protection and a 0°C to 50°C charge range, so avoiding cold charging is up to you. The Self-Heating model cuts charging off below 32°F and heats between -20°C and 5°C. The Renogy Pro manual lists a charge cutoff at 32°F with recovery at 37°F and a heater that runs below 41°F.
LiTime's Regular heating mode needs a charger of at least 10 A, while its Energy-efficient mode can draw from the battery above 20% SOC. Renogy's heater needs a stable charge current above 4 A per battery. Published warm-up figures are maker claims, not tests.
LiTime documents 4P4S expansion for both Group 24 models with a 5-year warranty. Renogy documents parallel only, up to 8 batteries, with a 7-year prorated warranty. A parallel-only battery cannot build a 24 V bank; read each maker's warranty document for conditions.
Does the basic LiTime Group 24 have Bluetooth or heating?
No. The maker page lists neither and sells the Bluetooth and Self-Heating versions as separate products. Keep the exact product page of the version you order.

The maximum continuous discharge current the battery management system allows.
Compare this with your largest sustained load. It is separate from the peak rating and from the charge limit, and a larger number does not establish quality.

The documented cold-charging cutoff, its threshold and the stated charge temperature range.
A cutoff protects the cells by stopping charge; it does not warm them. Where no cutoff is listed, the battery relies on you to avoid charging below the stated range.
12V 100Ah Group 24 single battery (US)No low-temperature protection listed. Charge temperature range 0°C to 50°C (32°F to 122°F); the maker says to charge only above 32°F.Source · 2026-10-21LiTime: 12V 100Ah Group 24 Deep Cycle Lithium Battery product page and specification tableChecked 2026-10-21. Whether this exact model documents an internal heater for cold-weather charging.
Heated versions of a battery are usually separate SKUs. Heating conditions, such as a minimum charger current, are recorded in the note and differ by maker.
12V 100Ah Group 24 Self-Heating single battery (US)YesHeating activates between -20°C and 5°C (-4°F to 41°F) and stops at 10°C (50°F). Regular mode uses a charger of 10 A or more; Energy-efficient mode can draw battery power above 20% SOC. Maker heating time 70 to 90 minutes from 14°F and 100 to 150 minutes from -4°F.Source · 2026-10-21LiTime: LiHeat 12V 100Ah Group 24 Dual-Mode Self Heating Lithium Battery product page and specification tableChecked 2026-10-21. The BCI group size or case form factor the maker names for the battery.
A group-size statement is a maker claim about case footprint, not a guarantee of fit in a specific tray or box. Check the dimensions, terminal height and hold-down.
Published length, width and height of the battery case.
Body dimensions exclude cable clearance above the terminals. Where a page and a manual disagree, the conflict is kept rather than resolved.

The maker cycle-life statement with its depth of discharge and any capacity endpoint.
A cycle count without a depth of discharge and a retained-capacity endpoint cannot be compared across brands. These are claims, not tests recorded here.

The maker statement on how many identical batteries may be connected in series or parallel.
Limits apply to identical batteries of the same model. A parallel-only battery cannot build a 24 V or 48 V bank; follow the manufacturer's requirements.
