Hayward R130 vs Beatbot AquaSense 2: cable or battery for floor, walls and waterline
Two robots that list floor, wall and waterline cleaning and above-ground use, one running from a 60 ft swivel cord and the other from a 10,000 mAh battery on a charging dock.
The decision in brief
How the options differ
Both exact US packages list floors, walls and waterline and neither lists surface skimming or includes a caddy. The R130 W3RCH431CU stays tethered to a deck power supply with a weekly timer and no app. The AquaSense 2 PRCSDE02-NA-A runs on a battery with app mode switching and surface parking. Their size claims use different measures: a pool length for Hayward and a pool-bottom area for Beatbot.

Package and specification details
Decide between a cord and a charge
The R130 runs from a digital power supply through a 60 ft cord with a swivel; Hayward requires a ground fault interrupter outlet and the power supply at least 12 ft from the pool edge. The AquaSense 2 has a 10,000 mAh lithium-ion battery, up to 4 hours of stated floor cleaning and about 4 hours to charge on its wireless dock.
Hayward states pools up to 50 ft for the R130 and no area. Beatbot states a recommended pool-bottom area of 3,230 sq ft and no length. Neither figure is a measured coverage result, and they cannot be converted into each other without your pool's shape.
The R130 uses a weekly timer on the power supply with once a day, every other day or every three days, and its FAQ states no Bluetooth. The AquaSense 2 uses the Beatbot app, with a connectivity row listing Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth that is shared with the Pro model, and parks at the surface when it finishes or runs low.
The R130 package lists an extra-large top-load basket with fine and four ultra-fine panels and no micron rating. The AquaSense 2 lists a 2 L basket with a 150 µm filter, and its box image shows the robot, charge dock, hook and guides. A caddy is optional for the R130 and sold separately by Beatbot.
Hayward lists the R130 for in-ground and above-ground pools. Beatbot's FAQ on the AquaSense 2 page says its robots handle both pool types, with a stated working depth of 1.6 to 9.8 ft. Both are maker statements, not a fit test for your pool.
Beatbot states 3 years of full replacement protection. Hayward's product page and 2026 Open Line terms state 1 year parts only for W3 SKUs, while its 2024 sell sheet states 2 years parts.
These manufacturer specifications do not establish measured performance, noise, long-term reliability or running cost. We have not independently tested these products. Check current prices, stock and operating-space instructions with the seller and manufacturer.
Open Line W3 SKUs are sold through authorized online and brick-and-mortar sellers; Hayward's warranty terms apply only to products bought from Hayward or its authorized sellers.
The R110 (W3RCH411CU) is a different package without waterline cleaning or the swivel. The caddy kit is optional. Purchase route, price and stock are not recorded.

Power and tether
Whether the robot runs from a deck power supply through a floating cable or from a built-in battery, and how that battery is charged.
Corded and cordless robots ask for different routines: placing a power supply and cable, or charging and retrieving the robot. Follow the maker's electrical requirements for the power supply or charger.

False means a corded robot. Cordless run time, charge time and battery capacity are separate fields and are often only partly published.

App, remote and connectivity

Questions to check before buying
The PoolCleaner R130 Open Line W3RCH431CU (US)
The product page dimension rows match the R110, and the R130 drawing and sell sheet give different height, width and length labels, so body dimensions are not recorded.
Warranty wording differs between the 2024 sell sheet (2 years parts) and the current product page and 2026 Open Line terms (1 year parts); check the terms that apply to your seller.
Beatbot AquaSense 2 PRCSDE02-NA-A (US)
Several comparison-table rows, including connectivity and suction, are single cells shared with the AquaSense 2 Pro, so they are not certain to describe this model alone.
No maximum pool length is published, and the FAQ gives two filter descriptions and two depth ranges; the 4-hour floor figure is a maker claim, not a measured run time.
