Traeger Ironwood vs Weber Searwood 600 vs GMG Ledge Prime 2.0: mid-size Wi-Fi pellet grills
Compare three mid-size connected pellet grills by main-grate area, both ends of the documented temperature range, hopper size and what each app connection needs.
The decision in brief
How the options differ
All three exact US packages document built-in Wi-Fi and a 20 to 22 lb hopper. They separate on the temperature range each controller documents, on whether cooking area is published grate by grate, and on the network, power and clearance conditions in each manual. None of the figures below is a measured cooking result.

Package and specification details
Compare the main grate, not only the total
Traeger publishes 616 sq in in total for the Ironwood, 396 sq in of it on the 22 in x 18 in main grate. Weber publishes 648 sq in for the Searwood 600, 420 sq in of it on the 24 in x 17.5 in bottom grate. Green Mountain Grills states 530 sq in in the Ledge Prime 2.0 specification block and catalog but 458 sq in in the same page's overview, and publishes no main-grate figure; extra RACKT shelves are sold separately.
The Ironwood documents 165 to 500 °F and its manual describes indirect-heat cooking. The Searwood 600 documents 180 to 600 °F with DirectFlame cooking and a full-grate sear zone. The Ledge Prime 2.0 documents 150 to 550 °F; its SideBURN infrared station is a separately sold attachment.
Traeger's manual requires a 2.4 GHz router and an app account, and says the grill must stay connected to receive operating, safety and security updates. Weber Connect pairs over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth without a stated band. GMG's PRIME app offers Server Mode over Wi-Fi and Local Mode over Bluetooth, and starting the grill needs Bluetooth within range. No subscription is stated for any of the three.
Traeger asks for at least 20 in from combustibles and GFCI protection on the outlet. Weber asks for 2 ft and a grounded outlet, with any extension cord 14-gauge, outdoor-rated and no longer than 13 ft. GMG asks for 36 in behind and to the sides; the Ledge runs on 12 V DC from a 110-240 VAC input, and a DC cord for 12 V sources is sold separately.
Traeger and Weber each state that two wired probes are included. Green Mountain Grills lists Dual Meat Probes as a feature and its manual shows two probe connections, but no source states how many probes are packed.

Total cooking area
The total grate area the manufacturer publishes for the grill as supplied, normally the main grate plus any included upper racks.
Upper racks add area for smoking but sit higher above the fire. Accessory racks sold separately are not counted, and a serving count is a manufacturer example, not a capacity test.
