Compare a screenless nine-parameter monitor with gas sensing against a display-equipped monitor that adds radon.
The decision in brief
How the options differ
Caeli lists CO, NO2, ozone and air pressure on top of CO2, PM2.5, TVOC, temperature and humidity, but has no screen and does not name its sensing methods. View Plus documents NDIR CO2, PM2.5 and radon with a numeric display. Neither replaces a dedicated smoke or carbon-monoxide alarm.

The buying guide
Package and specification details
Choose the quantities first
View Plus documents radon, which Caeli does not list. Caeli lists carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and ozone, which View Plus does not. Both list PM2.5, CO2, VOC-related readings, temperature and humidity. A wider parameter count does not substitute for the one quantity you need.
Airthings documents an NDIR CO2 sensor for View Plus. uHoo gives a CO2 range and accuracy for Caeli but does not name the technology, so direct CO2 sensing is not established here.
View Plus has a numeric display. Caeli's specifications list a dual RGB LED status indicator and phone apps as its interfaces, so values are read in the app. If you want readings without a phone, that difference matters more than parameter counts.
Caeli's free app covers live readings, alerts and history; its web dashboard, health indices and automations need optional Guard or Command add-ons after the first 3 months. View Plus offers app and dashboard access over Wi-Fi. Check the specific feature before assuming it continues without a plan.

The manufacturer-described CO2 sensing technology.
The method alone does not establish calibrated accuracy or identical behavior between revisions.

PM2.5 sensing
Whether a particle sensor for PM2.5 is documented.
CO2, particles and gases are different quantities. One sensor does not measure all of them.

Radon sensing
Whether the product includes a documented radon sensor.
Keep sensor presence separate from professional test certification, local rules and interpretation of results.

VOC signal type
The documented VOC-related output or its absence.
A relative index, total-VOC estimate and compound-specific concentration are not interchangeable.

Temperature and humidity
Whether both temperature and relative humidity sensing are documented.
Use the placement and operating conditions in the manual; a shared room does not imply identical readings.

Whether the device itself displays numeric readings.
A coloured indicator is not a numeric display. App readings are a separate viewing route.
