Before you choose.

How many running watts do you need, and on which fuel?

Running and starting watts are separate figures, and dual-fuel units publish lower propane ratings than gasoline ratings. Starting, peak, surge and maximum are the manufacturer's own words for the short-term figure, not a continuous rating.

Are the run time and noise figures on the same basis?

Manufacturers quote run time at 25 percent, 50 percent or rated load, and noise at a load and distance they may not state. Compare only figures with the same stated basis; an unstated basis is not equal to a stated one.

Which receptacles, CO system and emissions variant does the exact SKU have?

A TT-30R RV receptacle and an L5-30R twist-lock are different 30 A receptacles. Carbon monoxide shutoff systems carry brand names, and California-compliant versions are often separate SKUs from 49-state units.
