Start with the question you want the device to answer. A product described as an air monitor may measure very different quantities from another. Build a shortlist around actual sensors and a usable viewing and data-retention workflow, not a generic air-quality score.
Keep the measured quantities distinct
The selected monitors all document direct CO2 sensing, but their particle and radon coverage differs. ONE and View Plus include PM2.5 sensing. View Plus and Wave Plus include radon. Aranet4 HOME and Wave Enhance do not become particle or radon monitors because they measure other aspects of a room. CO2 is also not carbon monoxide; the Aranet documentation explicitly distinguishes its device from a CO alarm.

Read the method and units behind the number
A dedicated NDIR CO2 sensor is not the same as an eCO2 estimate derived from another gas sensor. VOC-related outputs also differ: ONE documents relative TVOC and NOx indices, which must not be treated as concentrations of named compounds. Even when two products display the same unit, their calibration, placement and settling requirements still matter. A method label is not an independent accuracy test.
Choose how you will see the readings
Aranet4 HOME, ONE and View Plus provide numbers on the device. The selected Wave models use local light indication and rely on an app for detailed readings. Decide whether you need a number without opening a phone, whether a coloured indicator is enough, and who will have access to the app. Do not count a mobile application as an included physical display.
Bluetooth and remote access solve different tasks
Bluetooth synchronization requires the documented nearby device or hub arrangement. Wave Plus does not provide remote internet access by itself; the compatible View hub must be powered and configured separately. Aranet4 HOME can work as a local battery monitor without Wi-Fi. ONE documents local integration options, while View Plus has a Wi-Fi app/dashboard path. Check the entire route from sensor to saved or remotely viewed data.

Read power and service terms together
ONE includes a USB cable but not its power plug, and the included hosted period is 12 months rather than permanent access. A local server can be an alternative, but requires its own setup. View Plus can run on batteries or USB; its hub function requires USB power. Verify accessories, optional hubs and the services you need after any included period, without treating consumer access as permission for commercial data reuse.
These are source-based buying comparisons, not health advice, a safety certificate or professional testing. CompareFoundry has not calibrated the sensors or measured the devices side by side. Keep the exact sensor limitations and the manufacturer operating instructions visible when deciding what the readings can support.
Common questions
Does a VOC signal identify a specific chemical?
Not from the general signals compared here. Read the sensor method and units; a relative index is not a compound-specific test.
Are optional hubs included in the single-device packages?
No hub inclusion is assumed. Check the exact selected package and the required remote-access setup.

Fully assembled ONE, not the DIY kit. Sensor revisions, relative VOC/NOx indices, supplied cable and excluded power plug are retained. Hosted access is time-bounded, not a permanent free-service promise.

Wave Enhance is separate from Wave Mini and Wave Plus. Its sensor set does not include a radon or particle sensor.
