FD-1040 ships four 15 1/2 in round trays and must run with at least four; NESCO's page says it expands to 20 trays while its care guide says 12. DH05SCBK13 has five fixed shelf trays behind a drop-down glass door and no documented expansion.
NESCO documents 90–160°F in 5°F steps with a 48-hour timer in 15-minute steps. Excalibur documents 85–165°F and an 80-hour timer for this SKU without stating increments. A set point is not a measured air temperature.
NESCO publishes 1000 W, 16 x 16 x 11 in and approximately 1 sq ft per tray, with four trays supplied; it publishes no total drying area for this package. Excalibur publishes 3 sq ft for the DH05SCBK13 but no wattage, voltage or dimensions, and no manual for the SKU is listed.
Are the fruit-leather sheets and mesh screens included with both?
Partly. The FD-1040 package lists one fruit roll sheet and one Clean-A-Screen, with extra sets sold separately. The DH05SCBK13 page lists a mesh screen and crumb tray but no solid fruit-leather sheet.
